Massage Policies and Procedures

The intention of Aquarian Body Harmonics is to provide each guest with professional and therapeutic experience. The following policies and procedures serve as a guide for first-time and regular massage guests of Aquarian Body Harmonics.
Aquarian Body Harmonics understands that unanticipated events occur in everyone's life. Unforeseen events such as car problems, traffic considerations, business meetings, and project deadlines, are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling a massage appointment.
Aquarian Body Harmonics is a commitment to provide a unique and outstanding massage experience to all guests equally. For the common consideration of both fellow guests and the therapists’, the following policies have been adopted.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, we look forward to serving you!
  • Please arrive for your scheduled appointment on time.  - Your therapist will be ready for you when you arrive. The room will have been prepared,  i.e.: clean sheets and towels, heated stones, aromatherapy, etc.
  • A timely arrival ensures that you have time to fill out the appropriate guest form (new clients), change and prepare for the service(s). All appointments have a specific time schedule and timely arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience.
  • If late arrival is inevitable, your service(s) may be shortened in order for the therapist to stay on schedule, and the originally scheduled treatment time will be charged. (Please see Late Arrival Policy below)
  • Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a treatment. This gives the therapist enough time to fill the time slot. If a client fails to cancel within 24 hours multiple times (2 or more), they will be asked to pre-pay for future services or may be denied service.
  • Late arrivals will not receive extended time past scheduled appointments and the basic hourly rate will be charged for the full scheduled hour.
  • In special cases, and when the schedule allows, accommodation may be made for a partial or full appointment. This will be at the discretion of the therapist and only with proper, advanced notification of late arrival. Please note: The original reserved time fee may be charged.
  • Please understand. The scheduled hour has been set aside and will start at the scheduled time, this means that the scheduled hour will also end on time regardless if the guest is late or not.
  • Sessions start on time and end time out of respect to guests and therapists alike.
  • Guests who fail to show for appointments will be required to pre-pay for future services or maybe refused future appointments. Please be aware that when a guest does not show for an appointment, the time slot that was reserved is then empty rather than used for a guest who may have wanted that slot. Therapist's take pride in having their workspace ready for a guest when a therapist is expecting a guest they will do everything to make the room ready for the comfort of the guest. The therapist usually has time invested in being ready for the guest before they arrive and a no-show means an hour of lost wages. Please be courteous to your therapist.
  • Prior to each massage session, the therapist will discuss a treatment plan with the guest. On a first time visit, you will receive a copy of the massage therapy policies and will be asked to sign the consent stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the professional massage therapy policies and procedures. Guests who we have not seen for at least a year will also be asked to fill out this form as the form is updated from time to time.
  • Aquarian Body Harmonics' massage therapists are licensed professionals and held to the highest standards of the CAMTC (California Massage Therapy Council).
  • Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply conjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client.
  • Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions nor are they allowed to provide treatment for a specific condition without a doctor's supervision. The massage therapist is required to refer you for diagnosis and to follow the recommendations of your physician.
  • Aquarian Body Harmonics Massage Therapists are happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume or preference, work longer on an area or move on if you request it. The Therapist will be checking in with you from time to time during the massage to allow for these adjustments.
  • The client may choose to: leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time and is free to leave; the therapy door is never locked.
  • The client will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be uncovered.
  • Occasionally, an emotional response to massage occurs. If this happens, it is okay to express the feelings in our safe, nonjudgmental environment - or you may request privacy and end the session. You are in control.
  • Requests for sexual activity will not be tolerated, will be viewed as solicitation, and reported to the proper authorities under the guidelines of the massage therapy policies and procedures. The guest will be refused future services if this occurs.
  • The breast and genital area will NOT be massaged under any circumstances. Permission will be asked before working close to these areas if needed; otherwise, a professional distance will be maintained. Also, low back, hip & gluteal area will be massaged only with permission and can be worked through the draping if requested.
  • Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate. On rare occasions, an involuntary sensual response to massage is natural and will subside on its own in a few moments.
  • Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and said guardian must be present in the room during the entire session,
  • The discussion between the massage therapist and the guest is confidential. The guest may or may not choose to talk during the massage.
  • We are happy to listen to your conversation and share our professional expertise. We prefer to not discuss topics of a political, religious or private nature.
  • It is the responsibility of the client to keep the massage therapist informed of any medical treatment currently being taken and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that the message may be continued.
  • The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions.
  • Gift certificates and gift cards are not redeemable for cash.
  • We cannot accept or verify lost gift certificates and gift cards.
  • All gift certificates and gift cards must be presented at time of service or you must pay the full-service price by other means.
  • All gift certificates and gift cards are non-refundable.
  • All gift certificates and gift cards expire one year after the purchase date and no extensions will be permitted.

What to expect

Aquarian Body Harmonics is owned and operated by a single therapist Llynnette VanHooser. Llynnette has been a Certified Massage Therapist through the State of California CAMTC since 1994.

Llynnette is a professional Massage Therapist and takes her chosen profession seriously. If there is anything you require to make your visit more comfortable, please don't hesitate to ask.

Scheduled Time:

After booking the first session,  the client will receive either an email or text, client's choice, that will request the client to read the Aquarian Body Harmonics policies page. Once read the guest should respond to the correspondence with the word "Agree" or "Confirm" to indicate the page has been read and the terms are agreeable. Confirmation also means you agree to the time and date scheduled for your treatment.

Once the guest responds as indicated above, a second correspondence will be received, with the address and directions to Llynnette's home studio. Just as Llynnette does not share your personal information, She also requests that you respect her privacy and not give her personal information to anyone.

When arriving at the first appointment, the client will be requested to fill out a Client Intake Form. This is very important, as it informs the therapist of any physical issues the client may have. In this way, an effective massage specifically for each individual client can be created.

Massage Room Etiquette:

After filling out the Client Intake Form the therapist will go over it with the client and start the process of creating a strategy for approaching the issues outlined. This is a good time to let your therapist know, what you expect to achieve with this massage experience.

The Therapist will leave the treatment room while the client undress to their comfort level and gets on the table covered by the sheet and/or blanket. If the client needs assistance getting on or off the table, the therapist can give assistance. Just request it before the therapist leaves the room.

For modesty, the client may choose to wear their undergarments. However, it is best if ladies remove their bra in order for the Therapist to work the back area. Any area that is covered by an undergarment will be avoided during the treatment, the client will not be asked to remove a garment once on the table.

Once on the table, the client is covered or "Draped" at all times. Only the area which is being worked on will be un-draped at any time. Once an area has been worked the area will be re-draped.

  • It is requested that the client come to the session showered and ready to receive their massage treatment.
  • Please turn off cell phones before entering the treatment room to better enhance your relaxation experience.

For further clarification please see the Policies page or contact Aquarian Body Harmonics via text 707-400-7297.

Thank you and enjoy your experience!
